Ironbark Sentinel Armor

Also known as: Sentinel Plate, Ironbark Combat Armor

The standard-issue combat armor of the Ironbark Sentinels, Eldoria's heavy infantry division of the Sylvan Guard, constructed from interlocking plates of enchanted ironbark wood reinforced at critical points with aetherite alloy elements. Unlike the legendary Aetherite Regalia of the Ironbark Sentinels, which is a unique panoply of ceremonial and martial significance passed between champions, the Sentinel Armor is produced in quantity by the armorer guilds of Eldoria for general Sentinel use. It is nonetheless a remarkable piece of craft: the ironbark panels breathe faintly, retaining the living quality of the wood from which they were grown, and the whole suit adapts slightly to the body of its wearer over weeks of use in the manner of living material finding its form.

History

The reform was associated with Master Cedric Ironwood's grandfather, who led the technical standardization committee.

Curse or Drawback

Ironbark Sentinel Armor produced for a specific Sentinel unit will not sit comfortably on a wearer from outside that unit without a re-bonding ceremony conducted by a Druid Warden. Wearers who bypass this procedure find the panels slowly warping away from their body over days of use, a discomfort that becomes increasingly difficult to ignore.
