Crystal Star
Also known as: Imperial Star, Star of Azaria
The Crystal Star is the Empire of Azaria's highest civilian honor — a six-pointed star of pure Gleamspire-grade resonant crystal, precisely faceted to produce a radiant internal fire of shifting blue-white light that intensifies in the presence of strong mana fields. Each Crystal Star is individually crafted by a designated master of the Guild of Arts and bears in its central facet the award recipient's personal mana-signature, etched by the Imperial Seal-Bearer using a mana-attuned stylus during the conferral ceremony. A Crystal Star cannot be replicated or transferred: if placed in the hands of anyone other than the designated recipient, its inner light dims to darkness and does not return until the rightful holder takes it back.

The Crystal Star conferral ceremony at the Crystal Plazas during Founder's Day is attended by tens of thousands of citizens and broadcast via Whispering Orb to all provincial capitals.
