Iron-Heart Amulet

The Iron-Heart Amulet is a crystal-infused pendant of deep significance in Orcish military and shamanic tradition, shaped from a single piece of iron-bark resin encasing a shard of geothermal crystal at its core. The outer casing is engraved with the Iron Heart sigil — the stylized iron core surrounded by runic circles that appears on Orcish banners and seals — and the crystal within glows a dull amber in the presence of significant physical force, as though warming in response to impact. The pendant hangs from a chain of iron-linked cord woven from Gorrak's Beard filaments, which gives it a slight organic texture unlike fully metal-worked jewelry. Warriors who wear it describe the sensation of impacts against their body as dulled — not absent, but arriving from a greater distance than the physical reality of the blow would suggest.
