The Healing Houses occupy a gently contoured island whose natural rock has been shaped over centuries into a series of broad, curved terraces. The structures are single-storey and open-sided, built to allow constant air circulation without creating the wind-driven chill of exposed platforms. Recovery gardens on the upper terrace are planted with sky-lichen varieties known to have alchemical medicinal properties, harvested from Caelum's island undersides and cultivated here in controlled conditions.

The Healing Houses are one of few locations in Caelum where deliberate weather management is applied for human comfort rather than agricultural necessity. A small aeromantic team maintains a persistent mild-pressure zone over the island that reduces wind intensity to a gentle, steady circulation, supporting patient recovery without the strain of exposure to full high-altitude conditions.
