Situated at the heart of Sahar-Al-Mutaqaddim, the Great Library is a multi-tiered complex carved partly into the bedrock beneath the oasis and partly rising in crystalline towers above the city skyline. Its lower vaults are sealed chambers accessible only to senior Scholars, while upper reading halls open to filtered sunlight through star-cut crystal panes.

Internally climate-controlled through Sand-Weave wards and Thermal-Arcane energy drawn from the Solar-Sand Cells, keeping temperature and humidity stable regardless of the desert conditions outside.

The Great Library was founded alongside the city of Sahar-Al-Mutaqaddim as the physical embodiment of the Desert Scholars' core mission: to preserve the world's memory. It has absorbed records from every civilization the Scholars have encountered, including archived treaties with the Celestial Order, Frostborn chronicles, and Eldorian discoveries that would otherwise have been suppressed or lost. It remains the single most complete repository of historical and arcane knowledge in Landorya.

Every seventh evening, the Grand Reading, a public recitation in the uppermost hall, opens the Library's lesser collections to citizens, with a chosen Scholar reading aloud from a newly catalogued text as scribes below copy the words in real time, ensuring no single voice ever holds knowledge alone.
