Cultural Significance
Seers are the spiritual backbone of the Nomads of Aurora, holding no official political seat yet wielding immeasurable influence over the Elders Council's decisions. Their visions are treated as the living memory of Landorya itself, and their counsel bridges the Nomads' earthly confederation with the wider, unseen forces that govern the world.
Lore
It is said that the gift of Aurora Seership was first awakened in a young girl of the Tribe of the Silver Mane who stared unblinking into a particularly violent aurora and emerged three days later able to recite the names of storms yet to be born. The Nomads of Aurora have since treated the aurora not as a natural phenomenon but as an open eye, Landorya watching and communicating through light. During the great Dispersion, when rival plains factions attempted to drive the Nomads from their ancestral routes, it was a council of seers who read the auroral patterns and predicted the enemies' movements with such precision that not a single caravan was lost. To this day, no confederation council convenes without first waiting for a seer's reading of the night sky.
