Backstory
Castor earned his post as Warden of the Gateway through an act that surprised even the Archon: during the Night of the Fractured Comet, when rival factions attempted to seize the Gateway of the Celestials, Castor single-handedly held the pilgrim path for three hours using nothing but warding chants and a staff carved from star-oak. His family, who had expected him to follow them into the merchant trade, disowned his choice; the Archon, witnessing his devotion firsthand, elevated him to Warden. Castor now prepares each sacred meal according to star schedules, believing the right ingredients consumed under proper celestial conditions maintain a Warden's clarity of purpose. The Guardian commander who questions his loyalty has never been willing to test that clarity in person.
