Story
LEIF ICE-BREAKER
Jeder trug seine Last. Jeder seine Geheimnisse. Jeder seine ungeschriebene Geschichte.
Und LEIF? LEIF ging weiter.

Backstory
Leif was twelve when the cave-in took his older brother. He went back down the next morning because the family needed the wages and because he refused to let the ice have the last word. Over fourteen years in the deep mines he became the most reliable extractor in his crew—never first to find the valuable seams, but always the one who brought everyone home. Between shifts he reads borrowed books, teaching himself history and philosophy one dog-eared page at a time, building a picture of a wider world he is quietly unsure he would want to enter.
Daily Life
Leif works ten-hour shifts in the deep mines, extracting ice for construction, carving, and trade. He returns to his cramped quarters exhausted, shares a meal with his crew, and sleeps until the next shift. His only escape is reading books borrowed from the surface.
