Story

TINKERVALVE SCRAPWORTH

He has a hidden vault containing pieces of a legendary alloy said to be indestructible, which he’s slowly assembling from scraps found over decades.. Das war die Last, die TINKERVALVE trug. Nicht schwer genug, um zu brechen. Aber schwer genug, um zu spüren. Immer da. Immer gegenwärtig.

Die anderen in Gnomes sahen es manchmal. In den Augen, die zu weit blickten. In den Händen, die zitterten. In der Stille zwischen den Worten.

Aber sie fragten nicht. Denn so war die Art ihrer Welt. Jeder trug seine Last. Jeder seine Geheimnisse. Jeder seine ungeschriebene Geschichte.

Und TINKERVALVE? TINKERVALVE ging weiter.

Backstory

Tinkervalve was left at the Rusty Cog Market's gate as an infant, wrapped in a leather apron stamped with an ore-merchant's mark that no one ever traced. The market's previous owner raised him in exchange for labour. By the time he was old enough to negotiate his own contracts, he had memorised the tensile properties of thirty-seven alloys by touch alone. When the owner died without heirs, Tinkervalve bought the business at auction with twenty years of saved earnings. He has since turned the Rusty Cog Market into the most reliable source of reclaimed metal in the Gearhaven Basin, and he has never once stopped checking incoming scrap batches for the stamped ore-merchant's mark that might tell him where he came from.

Daily Life

He rises before dawn to inspect incoming scrap shipments personally, assessing each load before his sorting team begins work. Morning trading hours fill the market floor with customers from across Gearhaven. Afternoons are spent on acquisitions, supplier negotiations, and the meticulous cataloguing sessions he conducts alone in his locked back office, where fragments of the legendary indestructible alloy are stored behind a shelf of ordinary copper pipes.

Secret

He has a hidden vault containing pieces of a legendary alloy said to be indestructible, which he's slowly assembling from scraps found over decades.
