Backstory
Togglespark disassembled and correctly reassembled the Artificer Academy's front gate lock at the age of twelve, entirely without permission, to prove it had a design flaw. The gate administrator was furious. The Ministry of Mechanisms was quietly impressed. Togglespark was admitted to the Academy on a conditional scholarship two years ahead of the standard age, with the condition that all subsequent unauthorised disassembly be preceded by a written risk assessment. They have submitted forty-seven risk assessments in three years. Seventeen were approved. They completed the other thirty anyway, on the grounds that the remaining thirty constituted irreplaceable field data.
Daily Life
They spend their days attending classes, working on personal projects in their dorm room workshop, and sneaking into restricted areas to study advanced mechanisms. Their room is filled with half-finished inventions, scattered notes, and the occasional small explosion mark. Teachers are both impressed and terrified by their potential.
