Story
YOUNG TIKO NETMENDER
Jeder trug seine Last. Jeder seine Geheimnisse. Jeder seine ungeschriebene Geschichte.
Und YOUNG? YOUNG ging weiter.

Backstory
Tiko is the third of five children in a fishing family that has worked Crescent Bay for four generations. His father, a man of few words and many calluses, expects the boys to follow the nets as his father expected him. Tiko does—mostly. But where the sea inspires his father to hard labor and silence, it inspires Tiko to impossible comparisons: light on a wave is never just light. He began writing poetry at fourteen after a traveling bard spent three nights in the village and left behind a single book of verse, now so thoroughly read that the spine is cracked and two pages are held in with a fishbone. He keeps the writing secret. His father would call it wasted candlelight. Tiko suspects he might not be wrong—and goes on writing anyway.
Daily Life
Tiko's days begin before dawn, helping his father and brothers prepare the nets and boat. Mornings are spent fishing, afternoons mending nets and cleaning the catch, evenings helping his mother prepare dinner. He writes his poetry late at night, by candlelight, hiding the pages beneath his mattress.
Story Hooks
- 1 Tiko needs help getting his poetry to the publisher without his family finding out
- 2 His father's boat has been damaged in a storm, and he needs to earn money for repairs, perhaps through an adventure
Narrative Value
Tiko serves as a potential apprentice or companion for players, provides a perspective of youthful ambition, and offers quests involving dreams and family expectations.
