Backstory
Ebb grew up in a Spring Circle anchored to the shore of the Tidal Flats, where the edge of Naiad territory blurs into the domain of the Nereids. Unlike most Naiads who looked inward toward rivers and lakes, she was transfixed from childhood by what the retreating tide left behind: strange shells, shards of Lumen-Crystal, and occasionally artifacts of unknown origin. Her First Merge at age one hundred took place in a tidal pool rather than a sacred spring, and the water-memory she received showed her a vast sunken vessel laden with cargo. She has spent the fifty years since systematically combing the Tidal Flats, guided by that single water-memory, certain that the wreck and its secrets still lie somewhere beneath the sand waiting for someone patient enough to find them.
