The Legion had no pension for warriors who survived but could no longer march, and his clan had been folded into a larger confederation after a succession dispute, leaving him without a clear patron. Too proud to ask his estranged siblings for charity and too broken to return to any trade, Vokkar took to the streets of Kragthar Hold. Three decades of military service gave him an encyclopedic map of the city's power structures and the daily habits of its influential figures, which he now trades for coins. He knows three separate secrets that would shatter careers in the Ministry of Honor if ever spoken aloud.
