Their body is a column of five-colour light, approximately two metres tall, that pulsates in the harmonic sequence of the Stellar Cycle rather than the rhythm of breath or heartbeat. When they communicate, the light column's colours shift and sequence; when they are silent, all five colours are present simultaneously and still.
Materiality: Zyranthos is not material in the biological sense — they have no mass that can be measured, do not cast a shadow, and do not displace air. They are perceived through resonance rather than light, making them visible to sensitive beings and nearly invisible to those without resonance perception.

The crossing was not intended to produce consciousness; it produced one anyway. Zyranthos is older than the Celestial Order, older than the Elder Races' recorded history, older than the Schism — present at the world's founding as a consequence of its geometry. The Celestials are aware of Zyranthos and have not addressed them formally, which Zyranthos experiences as the Celestials' appropriate recognition that convergence cannot be spoken to in the manner of creation or creature. The Order discovered Zyranthos approximately three thousand years ago when a surveying expedition to the central peak reported that the pentagonal crystal formation spoke to them.
