Ley-Drake

Ley-Drake belongs to apex predator in the Landorya bestiary. The Ley-Drake is a serpentine dragon-like beast whose scales shimmer with all five elemental hues, earthen amber, magma red, tidal blue, wind-silver, and aether violet, shifting in pattern depending on which ley-line it currently channels. Its hollow crystalline horns hum with resonant frequency, and its eyes glow like molten aether where no iris or pupil can be discerned.

Ley-Drakes are solitary and fiercely territorial, patrolling the ley-line corridors of the Deep Earth with cold, calculating awareness. They are not malicious but are utterly uncompromising, any being that disrupts a ley-line node in their territory is met with overwhelming elemental force.

Elemental scholars at the Great Conclave of Elements debate whether Ley-Drakes are fauna at all, or ancient elemental constructs that simply chose to become alive.
