Overview
Frost Spirits belongs to spirit in the Landorya bestiary. Its usual habitat is Found throughout the Frostbound Wastes but concentrated at places of strong cold magic: deep glacier caverns, the Wind Caves, the Singing Ice sites, and the area surrounding the Citadel of Eternal Ice.. Appearance
Frost Spirits are ethereal beings whose forms shift between near-invisibility and a faintly luminous blue-white presence perceptible in conditions of low light or deep cold. They take no fixed shape, manifesting as swirling patterns of ice crystals, condensed breath-mist given purpose and motion, or — in their most concentrated states — vaguely humanoid silhouettes assembled from frozen air that radiate an intense chill perceptible several feet away. Their presence is often felt before it is seen: a sudden drop in temperature, a crackling of ice on nearby surfaces, or the sound of wind through ice caverns even in still air.
Temperament
Frost Spirits are not malevolent by nature but are profoundly indifferent to mortal concerns. They act on imperatives that shamans describe as seasonal or elemental — drawn to cold, to ice, to the deep places of the north. Those who approach them with reverence rather than fear, particularly trained Frostborn shamans, report a quality of attention from the Spirits that suggests awareness and even communication on a non-verbal level.

Lore
Frostborn cosmology holds that Frost Spirits were the first beings created by Glacius and Aurelia before the making of the Frostborn themselves, and that they serve as the Frost Gods' active presence in the physical world. A shaman who cultivates a relationship with a particular Frost Spirit over years of respectful communion is considered immensely fortunate, as the Spirit may warn of dangers, guide hunters, or amplify healing work. The greatest tragedy of the Age of Fracture, in Frostborn theological terms, was the withdrawal of many Frost Spirits during that period of inter-clan warfare — interpreted as divine grief at seeing the Frostborn turn on one another.
Role in the World
Frost Spirits are the intermediaries between the Frostborn people and the great Frost Gods — Glacius, Aurelia, Boreas, and the others. Frostborn shamans commune with Frost Spirits in sacred sites like the Wind Caves and the Citadel of Eternal Ice to receive visions, guidance, and blessings from the divine realm. The Spirits are also considered the active agents of the north's magical phenomena — Crystal Blooms, the Singing Ice, and the Wandering Mists are all attributed to Frost Spirit activity.
