Robert Thorne Starwind

Robert is the oldest of the three Starwind children. He likes plans, practice, and keeping his family safe. His golden griffin Thorne flies with him over the hills of Greenvale.

Robert stands tall for his age, with short wavy brown hair and clear blue eyes. A thin crescent scar on his cheek is a reminder of a stormy night long ago. He wears sturdy leather and a deep blue cloak for mountain walks.

Serious, fair, and a little too hard on himself. Robert wants everything done the right way. He learns, step by step, that asking for help is also brave.

When Robert was still small, he promised to look after Mary and James. He practices with a wooden sword at sunrise and listens to wise teachers in the village. One day he freed a griffin chick from a trap and named him Thorne. Now boy and griffin watch the sky together — and Robert learns that a true protector also trusts his team.
