The most catastrophic episode is the Night of Fractured Reflections. The greatest moon-reader in Court history tried to read a Convergence-point at the furthest edge of legible time. The working shattered every crystal lens in the cavern-temples at once. The seer became the first recorded Tide-Lost. She still lives, wandering the hidden realms and speaking in the voices of people not yet born. The Fey Court of the Eternal Twilight then made the Veil-Accords. Divination may not look more than fifty years forward without unanimous approval of all Court-Circle lords. That restriction has been tested, and occasionally broken, in every century since.
