Lore
During the Obsidian River Skirmishes, a cohort of Torrentis Deep-Current Warriors merged into the river to ambush a Drakonian fleet from below. They re-cohered under every hull at once and shattered the ships in one surge. The feat won the battle and cost three warriors to the Final Confluence. Their names, Vareth, Soruun, and Illicae, are carved into the bedrock of the Obsidian River Head. On still nights, it is said, the river whispers them back.
