Its survival through the Nereids of Nereidum is one of the most direct Ocearan lines in Landorya. The Islanders of the Shimmering Isles also carry fragments in nautical chanties and storm-calling songs.

The oldest legend holds that the first Sonar-Singer was a grieving mother who dove into the Cerulean Deep calling for her lost child. Her cries shaped themselves to the ocean's resonant frequencies until the water answered, not with her child, but with a complete acoustic vision of every living thing in the Deep in a single breath. The Oceara named this the Mother's Map and made it the foundational pattern of all later sonar-magic. When they codified disciplines in the Cerulean Codex during the Dark Times, Sonar-Singing alone received its own dedicated volume.
