Within those clouds the Aetheric Charter was codified, enshrining aeromancy as a protected and regulated art for the first time. The modern Tempest Tribunal traces its authority directly to the charter-signers of that era. Present-day Aeriels of the high plateaus still perform the Rite of the Silent Cloud each solstice, an aeromantic ceremony honoring the Zephyrians who breathed the sky into a shield.
