Nereidum spans the underwater territories claimed by the Nereids, encompassing coral cities, open ocean expanses, and the lightless reaches of the deep sea. The region is defined by dramatic vertical relief, from shallow reef plateaus to the crushing depths of undersea trenches. Tidal currents engineered and monitored by the Nereids flow through the region like living roads.

Nereidum's waters are kept in careful equilibrium by Nereid stewardship, with stable thermoclines and nutrient-rich currents that sustain its ecosystem. The deepest zones are cold and pressurized, while shallower reef regions enjoy warmer, sun-filtered waters.

Nereidum was established by the Nereids as one of the original races created by the Celestials, making it one of the oldest inhabited realms in Landorya.
