Kept always at the centre of the Council of Confluence's deliberation chamber in the Deep Earth, the Orb has presided over every major Conclave decision since the Confederation's founding. It is said that during the Age of the Aether-storm, the Orb cracked along a hairline fissure, an event interpreted as a dire omen, and that only the combined sacrifice of three minor Elemental lords sealed it whole again.
