Aether-Firefly belongs to symbiotic creature in the Landorya bestiary. Its usual habitat is Wild Aether-Fireflies swarm in the crystal-rich clearings of Crystal-Glen, feeding on dust shed by natural Aether Crystal formations, but cultivated colonies are kept in controlled terrariums across Gearhaven and Steamhaven Plateau workshops.. Aether-Fireflies are slender, thumb-length insects with translucent wings that refract light into prismatic halos when they beat. Their abdomens pulse with a cool, blue-white bioluminescence fed by the crystalline Aether dust they consume, leaving faint glittering contrails in the air behind them as they drift.

Aether-Fireflies are gentle, non-aggressive creatures that drift in slow, meandering swarms and respond to rhythmic sound and vibration with increased luminescence, a trait Gnomish artificers exploit by placing them near clockwork music boxes to brighten workshops on demand.
