Set within the fertile Amber River Valleys in southern Eldoria, Ambervale is built along a wide stretch of river where the amber-hued waters slow and deepen, creating natural docks and wharfs. The surrounding landscape is warmer and more open than the central Greenwood Heartlands, with rolling golden meadows interrupted by stands of amber-leafed trees and the glittering courses of river tributaries. The city is larger than Frostmere or Thorndale but smaller than Sylvanhaven, and its layout reflects its mercantile character: wide quaysides, guild warehouses, and an expansive market district that fills the city's heart.
