  • Tools: Aether-Staves (crystalline rods that focused and amplified aetheric energy), Star-Orbs (spherical instruments used for divination and celestial calculation), Resonance Mirrors (communication devices), Veil-Looms (large-scale enchantment engines).
  • Regulation: Strict licensing by the Conclave of Luminaries; all probability-altering and temporal-distortion workings required Conclave approval. Misuse resulted in Veil-Severance—temporary disconnection from aetheric energy, the most feared punishment in Starlight society. The Balance Charter, shared with the other Ancient Five, placed absolute limits on workings that could fracture reality.
  • Legacy Infrastructure: The ley-line network beneath the Astral Plateau was the most sophisticated aetheric grid in the ancient world. Its architecture directly informed the Arcane Substrate of modern Mystara—the convergence of ley-lines that saturates the mist-shrouded land with ambient magical energy and sustains the Fractal Labyrinth.
