Origin & Development
- Founding Myth: The Cosmic Sage Aetheris perceived the first thought of the universe—a single, perfect note of aetheric resonance—and drew it into a crystal, creating the Star-Heart, the foundational artifact of the Order. From this seed of pure thought, the first Starlight city of Luminara grew, attracting those who could hear the echo of that primal resonance.
- Evolution: From scattered mystics and star-gazers to a sophisticated meritocratic theocracy; the Order formalized its institutions during the first century of the Ancient Five alliance. During the Dark Times, the Order retreated behind the Great Veil—a massive aetheric barrier surrounding the Astral Plateau—and codified the Codex Aetheris. When the barrier eventually weakened and was no longer needed, the Order's descendants migrated to the mist-shrouded lowlands that became Mystara, carrying their traditions into the modern age.
