Celestial Magic: The Celestial Order is known for its mastery of celestial magic, a powerful and esoteric form of magic that draws its energy from the stars and planets. It is a rare form primarily practiced by Aeriels and some Celestial Order members.

Branches of Celestial Magic:

  1. Astromancy: Using astrological charts and calculations to predict future events and gain insight into the workings of fate.
  1. Celestial Invocation: Invoking the power and blessings of the Celestial Gods, calling upon divine energy of specific stars, planets, or constellations to heal, protect, or empower.
  1. Astral Warding: Creating protective wards and barriers that draw strength from celestial bodies, used to defend against magical attacks, contain dangerous artifacts, or create sanctuaries.
  1. Celestial Augury: Interpreting celestial signs and omens to gain knowledge and insight by reading the movements of the stars, the patterns of planets, and the dance of the aurora.
  1. Astral Cartography: Creating detailed maps of the celestial realms, mapping the locations of stars, planets, and other celestial bodies. These maps contain hidden knowledge decipherable only by the most skilled members.

  • Astral Beacons: Ancient structures aligned with specific stars, some possessing mystical properties as portals to celestial realms or conduits for divine energy.
  • The Library of the Celestial Order: Repository of ancient texts, star charts, and records
    the most extensive collection of knowledge in Landorya.
  • The Gateway of the Celestials: A massive stone arch that, on certain nights of stellar alignment, is said to open into the Celestial Realm.

Magic also serves practical functions: preservation of ancient texts, enhancement of scholarly understanding, protective enchantments around sacred sites, and maintenance of the Order's instruments and structures.

Limitations and Governance: Celestial magic is difficult to control and can have severe unintended consequences if misused. The rules governing magic use are upheld by governing bodies like the Celestial Order to prevent magical abuse and catastrophe. Forbidden magic such as necromancy and spells that manipulate life and death are strictly prohibited by law in all Landoryan societies.
