Seasonal Cycle

SeasonCharacteristics
Spring (Thaw of Stars)Snow begins to recede from the lower slopes. Pilgrimage routes to the Whispering Peaks reopen. New acolytes are formally welcomed into the Order during the Rite of Initiation. Alpine gardens are planted with medicinal herbs.
Summer (High Radiance)The longest days are devoted to intensive celestial observation, as the clear summer skies offer the best viewing conditions. The Order participates in scholarly conferences and cultural exchanges with other regions. Festivals celebrating the solstice align with major celestial events.
Autumn (Harvest of Wisdom)The gathering of medicinal herbs from the mountain slopes. Reflection and review of the year's scholarly and spiritual progress. Preparation of preserves and stores for the coming winter. Ceremonies honor the changing of the seasons and the approaching darkness.
Winter (Deep Contemplation)The mountains are sealed by heavy snow. The Order turns inward, focusing on meditation, study, and the most sacred rituals. Winter solstice is marked by the grandest ceremonies at the Gateway of the Celestials. Communal gatherings and shared meals reinforce bonds during the long, cold months.
