Knowledge Institutions

  • Confluence Archive - The multi-planar library anchored in the Aetheric Veil. Contains the collected knowledge of all five kingdoms across millennia. Managed by the Archivists of the Confluence, a cross-kingdom scholarly order.
  • Kingdom Academies - Terran Forge, Pyroclast Academy, Aqua Sanctum, Zephyr Hall, and Aetheric Nexus each maintain extensive research programs open to Elementals and, through the Scholar Exchange Program, to mortals.
  • Resonance Libraries - Local repositories of Resonance Songs — encoded knowledge accessible through harmonic playback. Found in every major settlement.

Scholar Exchange Program

Mortal scholars from across Landorya may apply for residency at any Elemental academy. Requirements:

  1. Sponsorship by an Elemental mentor.
  2. Passing the Resonance Test (demonstrating basic elemental attunement).
  3. A research proposal approved by the academy's governing body.
  4. Acceptance of the Scholar's Oath — a binding promise to respect the Elemental Codex and Balance Quotas.

Conferences & Conclaves

  • Great Conclave - A once-per-century meeting of all Primarchs, Council members, and senior scholars at the Celestial Confluence. Discusses existential threats, major policy shifts, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Resonance Symposia - Annual gatherings within each kingdom where researchers present findings, debate theories, and collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects.
  • Mortal-Elemental Colloquium - A biannual conference held at a rotating Bound Settlement, designed to strengthen ties between the kingdoms and the younger races.

Information Dissemination

  • Ley-Line Relays - The primary communication infrastructure; thoughts and data are encoded as Resonance Pulses and transmitted across the ley-line network.
  • Aetheric Mirrors - Visual communication devices; project real-time images across vast distances.
  • Elemental Echoes - Broadcast announcements from the Council of Confluence; function as a public address system.
  • Courier Sprites - Aether-Sprites tasked with carrying sensitive information that cannot be entrusted to the ley-line network (e.g., True Names, classified research).
