Each Antechamber is sited at a deliberate distance from the secondary ley node powering its host settlement — close enough to draw stabilizing energy from the node, far enough that an active anomaly within the Antechamber cannot propagate directly along the node's lines. The structure uses materials and ward configurations developed by the Ministry of Planar Affairs over generations to absorb dimensional stress rather than oppose it.

The interior is designed for perceptual neutrality — light, temperature, and ambient arcane signature all held at standard baseline regardless of external conditions, providing a stable operational environment under the emergency circumstances for which it was built. During active anomaly events, this stability becomes the most valuable property the space possesses.

The Planar Antechambers were developed following a historical period in which several Mystaran settlements suffered significant disruption from dimensional anomalies that lacked dedicated response infrastructure.
