Pyrakians (Fire)
  • World-Stage Role: Known as the "Wardens of the Furnace", the Pyrakians (and their Drakonian heirs) patrol the Scorching Spine's volatile caldera chain, preventing catastrophic eruptions from devastating neighboring lowlands.
  • Guardianship Mandate: The Flame-Watch—a rotating corps of senior pyromancers—monitors magma pressure through a network of Heat-Glyph Sensors embedded in volcanic vents. When pressure exceeds safe thresholds, controlled venting rituals redirect lava into pre-carved channels.
  • Modern Heirs: Drakonians maintain the ancient Obsidian Citadel as the seat of volcanic stewardship, uphold the Dragonsoul Pact tradition with their bonded dragons, and continue the Pyrakian practice of Draconic Fire-forging in the great foundries of Forgepeak.
  • Inter-realm Aid: Pyrakian flame-brigades were historically dispatched to cauterize plague-lands and forge emergency fortifications for allied realms; this tradition survives in the Drakonian Dragon Guard's deployment during continent-wide crises.
