Language & Symbols

  • Language: Ignis Tongue, a sharp, percussive language whose spoken form produces faint heat shimmer in the air—a trait inherited by the modern Drakonian language. Written in angular Ember-Glyphs etched into obsidian tablets with molten styluses.
  • Symbols: The Tri-Flame Crest—three interlocking tongues of fire representing creation, destruction, and renewal. Secondary motifs include the Anvil-and-Ember (symbol of forge-craft) and the Crowned Volcano (symbol of the Flame-Council's authority).
  • Linguistic Legacy: Many Drakonian military and religious terms derive directly from Ignis Tongue, including "Dragonsoul" (drakon-pyra) and "Forgefire" (kaeld-ignis).
