| Pilgrimages to Places of Power | Mystaran seekers undertake pilgrimages to the Whispering Spires, Starlit Pools, and other sanctums, spending days or weeks in solitary meditation and study to attain deeper insights. |
16.3 Rites of Passage

| The Kindling | The recognition of a child's first magical manifestation. Celebrated with family and community, it marks the beginning of a Mystaran's magical life. |
| The Binding | The formal ceremony in which an apprentice is bonded to a master mage. Both parties exchange sigils the master inscribes a teaching-sigil on the apprentice, and the apprentice offers a learning-sigil in return. |
| The Journeying Threshold | The ceremony marking the end of apprenticeship and the beginning of independent practice. The newly minted Journeyman mage walks alone through the mists from their master's dwelling to a place of power, where they perform an original magical working of their own devising. |
| The Void Communion | An optional but deeply respected rite undertaken by mages seeking a profound transformation. The practitioner enters the Voidstone Circle and meditates in total magical silence, confronting their deepest self without the augmentation of arcane power. |
| The Thinning Farewell | The solemn and beautiful ceremony held when an elder Mystaran reaches the final stage of the Thinning and prepares to pass beyond the physical world entirely. The community gathers to honor the departing elder, who shares final wisdom before fading into luminous transparency and vanishing. |
