The grove occupies a naturally bowl-shaped depression where two ley-lines cross, causing ambient Veil-energy to pool measurably higher than in the surrounding forest. The orchids grow in concentric rings outward from the exact crossing point, with the oldest and most potent specimens at the center. Entry paths are narrow and self-rerouting, maintained by the Root-Singers so that casual visitors cannot blunder into the innermost rings.

Within the grove a stillness persists regardless of wind conditions outside. Rainfall here carries a faint luminescence borrowed from the ley-line intersection, and the air is saturated with a sweet, complex fragrance from the orchids that deepens as they approach bloom. The grove is administered entirely by its Root-Singer order, who sleep in woven-bough cells at the perimeter and spend their days in slow, attentive tending: singing to individual plants, adjusting the ley-line energy flow through careful stone-placement, and monitoring the orchids' bloom cycles for signs of stress or magical imbalance.
