The Great Oak rises at the deep interior of the Eldris Forest, its roots threading through the earth for unknown distances and its crown breaching the canopy to touch open sky. The ground around it is hallowed, carpeted in luminous moss and ringed by the oldest companion trees planted at elven births centuries past.

The immediate vicinity of the Great Oak is perpetually calm and temperate, sheltered by its immense canopy and warmed by a faint emanation of natural magic that locals describe as a gentle pressure of peace in the chest.

The Great Oak predates recorded Sylvan history and is considered by the elves to be a living ancestor rather than a mere tree.
