The range is a rugged spine of iron-rich peaks, deep ore-seam valleys, and geothermal corridors that stretch across a significant portion of the continent. Clan territories, each called a Territory of the Roaring Stone, are carved out along its ridges and valleys, with natural passes serving as both trade arteries and military chokepoints.

The Iron-Vein Range experiences harsh alpine conditions, with heavy snowfall in upper elevations during winter and brief, rocky summers. Volcanic activity in the Ash-Vein sub-range introduces sulfurous air and occasional tremors to the southern reaches.
