17.4 The Five Schools of Sand-Weave
Sand-Weave magic is divided into five recognized schools, each with its own techniques and applications:
- Construction Weave
the art of shaping sand into durable structures. Practitioners are the Sand-Masons. - Battle Weave
defensive and offensive sand manipulation. Taught exclusively to the Sand Guard. - Divination Weave
using sand patterns to read the future or detect hidden objects. Practiced by Ruin Archaeologists. - Healing Weave
a rare and difficult discipline that uses micro-vibrations of sand particles to stimulate cellular repair. Only a handful of Masters possess this skill. - Resonance Weave
the most esoteric school, focused on communicating with the ambient sand-mana itself. Practitioners of Resonance Weave claim they can "hear" the desert's memories, and their insights have led to several major archaeological discoveries.
