Physical Characteristics

Eldorians are distinguished by a physique that seems sculpted by the forests they inhabit. They stand notably taller than most races of Landorya, averaging between six and six-and-a-half feet, with slender yet resilient frames built for agility rather than brute strength. Their musculature is lean and wiry — optimized for climbing, archery, and the precise movements demanded by fine metalwork and woodcraft.

Their hair ranges from deep gold to rich auburn, with regional variation producing silver-streaked tones among the northern Frostleaf Marches peoples and copper highlights among the southern Ambervale communities. Eyes tend toward vivid greens and blues, occasionally shifting toward amber in individuals with strong druidic sensitivity. Skin luminosity is a noted trait — even at dusk, an Eldorian's complexion carries a faint inner warmth, attributed by scholars to the constant low-level absorption of ambient magical energy.

Eldorians move with a natural agility and lightness of foot that marks them in any crowd. Their senses are keenly attuned to the forest: they can detect a shift in wind direction before it registers on skin, identify hundreds of plant species by scent alone, and perceive the shimmering aura of magical energy that flows through all living things. This last ability — sometimes called the Sylvan Sight — manifests most strongly in druid-blooded lineages but is present to some degree in virtually all Eldorians.

Lifespan runs to three and four hundred years, with maturity reached around age forty. This slow development is not a weakness but a feature: Eldorian children absorb knowledge and craft with great deliberateness, and the adult who emerges at forty carries a depth of formation that faster-maturing races rarely match. Elder Eldorians, those past two centuries, are visibly distinguished by a silver luminescence at their temples and a stillness of presence that younger generations describe as being like an ancient tree — unhurried, deeply rooted, and impossible to overlook.
