Language & Symbols

10.1 Celestial Cant

The Celestials communicate in Celestial Cant, a language of vibrational frequencies. Mortals hear it as dream-speech, aural chimes, or luminescent glyphs. Only Oracles can interpret it directly; others require trained Star-Readers to translate.

10.2 Written Systems

The Celestial Order developed Stellascript — a mortal writing system based on simplified versions of the five celestial sigils. Each glyph combines a base sigil element with phonetic modifiers. Stellascript is used for:

  • Official Order documents and correspondence
  • Enchantment inscriptions on Celestial Crystal artifacts
  • Astronomical charts and the annual Starlight Almanac

10.3 Sacred Symbols & Heraldry

The five celestial sigils (Hourglass Spiral, Infinity Loop, Hexagram, Flaming Helix, Open Eye) appear in temple architecture, royal regalia, and magical sigils across every civilization. The Celestial Order's official emblem is a Pentastar — all five sigils arranged in a circle, connected by lines of light.

10.4 Naming Conventions

Members of the Celestial Order adopt a resonance name upon completing their training:

  • Structure: [Domain-prefix] + [personal quality] — e.g., Chron-Patience (a Chronos-domain scholar), Æth-Clarity (an Aether-domain navigator), Terr-Steadfast (a Terra-domain warden).
  • Names given at birth are retained as inner names, used only among close companions.
  • Oracles receive a vision-name from the Celestials themselves, which is never spoken aloud but inscribed in Stellascript on their temple vestments.
