5.1 Historical Alliances and Conflicts

Eldoria maintains complex relationships with the other regions and races of Landorya, shaped by historical alliances, trade partnerships, and occasional conflicts.

  • Alliance with the Sylvan Elves: The Eldorians have a long-standing alliance with the Sylvan Elves of the Eldar Forest, with whom they share a deep respect for nature. Bound by their shared love for nature and the earth, these races trade in magical wood, herbs, and knowledge of nature magic.
  • Alliance with the Frostborn: The Frostborn have a strong alliance with the Eldorians, trading resources and knowledge. Both share an interest in runecraft and earth-oriented practices.
  • Conflict with the Drakonians: In the past, Eldoria has clashed with the Drakonians over the use of forest resources, leading to a tense but currently peaceful relationship.

5.2 Diplomatic Relations

Eldoria maintains diplomatic ties with most other regions, with Heralds regularly exchanging visits and messages. They are known for their fair and honest dealings. The Office of the Herald maintains permanent envoys in most major capitals, and the biennial Concord of Oaks

draws ambassadors from across Landorya to discuss trade, security, and shared governance concerns.

5.3 Trade and Economic Interactions

As skilled craftsmen, the Eldorians trade in high-quality metalwork, weapons, and magical items. They have trade agreements with the Sylvan Elves, Frostborn, and Drakonians. Eldoria is a major exporter of enchanted wood products, herbal remedies, and magical textiles. They import metals, gems, and other raw materials not found in their forests. The Islanders of Shimmering Isles, with their advanced ships, also maintain trade agreements with the Eldorians, transporting goods between coastal regions.

5.4 Tourism and Cultural Exchange

While Eldoria welcomes tourists, the number of visitors is carefully controlled to minimize environmental impact. Those who do visit often seek to learn about Eldorian crafts, magic, and way of life. A growing tradition of scholar exchange programs sees young Eldorians studying at institutions in other realms while foreign students attend the Grove Academies of Eldoria.
