Physical Characteristics
2.1 Appearance
The Eldorians are a race of striking beauty and grace. They are tall and slender, with lithe, athletic builds that reflect their active lifestyle. Their skin tones range from fair to light bronze, often seeming to glow with an inner radiance. Eldorian hair is typically lustrous and ranges from deep gold to rich auburn, often worn long and braided with intricate patterns. Their eyes, ranging from vivid green to deep blue, are said to mirror the colors of their beloved forests and skies.
2.2 Senses and Agility
Eldorians possess a natural agility and lightness of foot that allows them to move silently through even the densest woodland. Their senses are keenly attuned to the rhythms of the forest
they can detect subtle changes in wind direction, hear the faintest rustle of leaves, and identify hundreds of plant species by scent alone. This sensitivity extends to the magical spectrum: many Eldorians can perceive the ambient flow of magical energy, which they describe as a faint, shimmering aura that surrounds all living things.
2.3 Lifespan and Maturation
Eldorians are long-lived, with lifespans averaging 300 to 400 years. Their extended years allow them to pursue mastery of multiple crafts and disciplines, and their elders accumulate centuries of wisdom and experience. Eldorian children mature slowly, reaching adulthood around age 40, after which they are expected to choose their path in service to the community.
2.4 Racial Variations
Not all Eldorians are identical in appearance. Those from the northern reaches of the Frostleaf Marches tend toward paler skin and silver-tinged hair, adapted to the cooler climate and the proximity to Frostborn territories. Eldorians from the southern river valleys near Ambervale are often darker-skinned with auburn or copper hair, their features reflecting generations of intermingling with trading partners from warmer lands. Despite these regional differences, all Eldorians share the characteristic luminous quality of skin and the keen, forest-adapted senses of their race.
