It stretches across the volcanic spine of the Drakon Range, the basaltic plateaus of the Ashen Plains, the obsidian-coated coastlines, and the high-altitude Flame-Crest Highlands. The empire is the cradle of draconic magic, fire-forging technology, and the political hub for the Drakonians - the mortal descendants who inherit the dragons' legacy.

Type - Imperial Confederation (a federation of dragon-ruled provinces, each overseen by an Elder Council and a Dragon-Lord, with a mortal administrative layer).

1.2 Founding Principles

The Dragon Empire was established upon three immutable tenets known as the Triad of Scales:

  1. Fire is Life - dragonfire is not merely a weapon but the animating force of the world. Without it, the mantle cools, the soil hardens, and all living things perish.
  2. Memory is Duty - every event, every name, every ember must be preserved in the Crystal Archive. To forget is to betray the ancestors who shaped the mountains.
  3. Balance is Law - unchecked fire consumes; unchecked ambition corrupts. The Ash-Balance Doctrine is not merely policy but sacred covenant between dragonkind and the world itself.

These three tenets are carved into the Basalt Triad, a monumental three-sided obelisk standing at the entrance to the Heart-of-Fire Citadel, and every newly hatched dragon is brought before it within the first hour of life.
