| Bond-Ritual | The sacred ceremony binding a Drakonian rider to a dragon. Requires the mortal to pass through Dragon-Fire unharmed (protected by a crystal ward) and the dragon to accept the mortal's scent. The bond is sealed with a shared blood-rune carved into both parties. |
| Hatching Rite | When a dragon-egg cracks (an event that may occur only once per century), the entire empire halts. The High Dragon-Lord presides; the new hatchling is presented to the populace amid fireworks of pure dragon-fire. |
| Naming of the Flame | Performed one year after hatching. The hatchling's Draconic Sigil is officially read by the Grand Archivist, and the dragon's true name is spoken aloud for the first and only time before the Elder Council. Thereafter, the dragon is known by its public name. |
Funeral The Pyre of Memory | When a dragon dies (exceptionally rare), its body is cremated in the Heart-of-Fire Volcano. The resulting crystal residue is absorbed into the Crystal Archive, preserving the dragon's memories for eternity. Drakonian mortals are cremated on obsidian pyres; their ashes are mixed with crystal dust and interred in clan vaults. |
