The Forging of the First ScaleA myth explaining the origin of dragon scales. Ignathar, exhausted from shaping the mountains, shed a single tear of molten crystal. Where it fell, it hardened into the first dragon scale, and from that scale, all subsequent dragon armor descended. The tale teaches that strength is born from vulnerability.

The Sylvan-Flame WarsChronicle of the ancient conflict with the Fey over the Ashen Glades. Teaches the costs of unchecked expansion and the value of compromise.
The Obsidian BetrayerCautionary tale of a dragon who fell to shadow-magic. The only dragon ever subjected to Memory-Death (erasure from the Crystal Archive). Used to warn young dragons against the temptation of dark power.
Pyrathian and the WandererThe story of a young dragon who befriended the human hero Elandril, helping him retrieve the Ember Shard from the Heart-of-Fire Volcano. A popular tale celebrating cross-racial friendship.
Thassarion's WalkThe epic of the lawgiver dragon's journey around the empire's borders, during which he settled disputes, defeated a rogue Magma Drake, and inscribed the foundations of the Codex of Scales into the living rock. The tale is considered required reading at every Dragonfire Academy.

The River of Fire and the Maiden of WavesA love story between a fire-drake and a Nereid singer, explaining the origin of the Festival of Ember & Tide. The tale ends in bittersweet separation but eternal musical harmony.
Eldraxis and the Shattered EyeThe true account of how Grand Archivist Eldraxis lost his mate and his left eye in the War of Celestial Sundering, and how his grief led him to devote his existence to preserving memory so that no loss would ever be truly permanent. Not a myth but a revered piece of living history, often recited at funerals.

The Wyrm Who Drank the SeaA comic folk tale about a gluttonous young Flame Wyrm who tried to drink the ocean to prove his superiority over the Nereids, only to develop a terrible stomachache and an unexpected taste for salted fish. Told to children to teach humility.
The Sober Knight and the Wyrm's TankardA satirical tale about a prim Drakonian temperance advocate who enters the Wyrm's Tankard to shut it down and ends up befriending the brewmaster, discovering that not all fire is meant to forge weapons
some is meant to warm the heart. Popular in taverns throughout the empire.
