The Pearl That Held the MoonA children's fable about a young pearl-diver who finds a pearl so perfect that it captures a reflection of the moon. 25.4 Mystery & Warning Tales

TaleSummary
The Echoes of the AncientsStrange, haunting echoes emanate from the ocean depths, and ancient structures emerge from the sea floor. A Nereid Sonar-Singer discovers these echoes are deliberate signals from a long-lost civilization waiting in stasis. With allies including a Mystaran Psychic-Diver, an Aeriel Star-Navigator, and a Drakonian Forge-Master, they must decipher the ancients' true intentions. A tale of underwater exploration, ancient mysteries, and the consequences of uncovering secrets long buried by time.
The Silence BelowA cautionary myth about a Nereid mage named Vorathis who attempted to use Blood-Tide magic to gain power over the Abyssal depths. His ritual succeeded in summoning a creature of unfathomable size and malice from the deepest trench. Only the combined voices of every Sonar-Singer in Nereidum, singing in perfect unison, drove the creature back. Vorathis was stripped of his voice and cast into exile
the first recorded imposition of the Silence. The tale warns against the corruption of Deep Magic.
The Drowned GardenA melancholy tale about an ancient Nereid settlement called Thessalume that was destroyed when a volcanic eruption buried it under a flow of molten stone. The survivors believed the city lost forever until, centuries later, explorers discovered that the coral had slowly reclaimed the ruins, creating an eerily beautiful garden of stone and living reef. The Drowned Garden is now a pilgrimage site, and the tale teaches acceptance of loss and faith in the ocean's power of renewal.
