Daily Responsibilities
Each Drakonian contributes to their society through their strength, whether in battle, at the forge, or in taming dragons.
Clothing and Adornment
Drakonians wear heavy, ornate armor even in daily life, always ready for battle. Casual garments are made from the treated hides of Ashland Boars and Pyrewolves, dyed in clan colors and reinforced with metal studs. Jewelry is exclusively metalwork
chains, rings, and horn adornments forged from precious alloys. Wearing organic materials such as wood or cloth is considered a sign of weakness, and most Drakonians will refuse to don such items unless necessity demands it.
Cuisine and Feasting
Drakonian cuisine is heavy on meat and spices, with a preference for charred flavors. Meals are prepared over volcanic vents or dragonfire, and the use of flameweed as a spice gives Drakonian food its distinctive smoky heat.
Notable dishes include:
- Drakechar: Ashland Boar ribs slow-roasted over volcanic vents for an entire day, seasoned with crushed flameweed and Magmaroot.
- Pyrewine: A potent spirit distilled from Cindervine berries, aged in obsidian-lined casks. It is said to taste of smoke, iron, and the faintest hint of sweetness.
- Emberbread: Dense loaves baked in the residual heat of cooling lava flows, a staple carried by soldiers and travelers.
Special Occasions
The hatching of a new dragon is cause for grand celebrations and seen as a blessing on the clan.
